Happy Feet offer a wide range of different classes using a fun and relaxed approach. Our classes teach children through dance, movement, music and games. Happy Feet's classes are tailor made to each groups individual needs varying from age range to ability. Happy Feet always offer children the latest trends in dance and movement and encourage the children to voice their opinion when it comes to choosing new topics. Every session offers children the chance to use their imaginations and to develop their personalities within our warm and welcoming environments.

Due to the well publicised rise in obesity, Happy Feet aim to help children and their parents into creating a healthier lifestyle through exercise. This is throughout the whole range of our sessions offering a fun and energetic experience, helping the children to stay fit and healthy in a subconscious way mainly using dance and games.

Happy Feet provides instructors who have professional and amateur dance backgrounds and who have previous teaching experience of over two years. All Happy Feet instructors are CRB checked and fully insured with public liability insurance. Happy Feet offer risk assessments for every venue they work in and are updated regularly if needs be. Instructors are assigned to particular areas allowing them to form good relationships with schools, parents and students. All instructors have a passion for doing what they teach, which shows through the enthusiasm of the children. Happy Feet give parents the chance to see what their children are currently learning at the end of every school term with short performances.

Happy Feet cover throughout the North East and East Midlands offering classes in Gateshead, Newcastle, South Tyneside, Sunderland, Durham and Burton-upon-Trent.

Happy Feet was founded in 2007 by Nicola Liddle. Monkeying Around sessions were formed first after a lack of baby classes in the North East area. We formed our sessions for babies and toddlers to explore new and exciting instruments and props. Our aim was to provide parents and guardians with new ideas for interactive play with their new babies and toddlers. After a successful turn we moved into Children’s Centre’s and Nurseries as well as still holding private classes. Happy Feet then formed Dizzy Boppers to run after-school clubs in dance for children aged 5-11 with the chance to show parents what the children had been working towards in an end of term performance.

Happy Feet also created various summer fayre routines for schools and groups to show the parents and school friends in a presentation at the school festivals. We offered the children a chance to attend a session with a relaxed atmosphere creating a more enjoyable experience for them. This proved extremely popular and moved towards the summer workshops. Summer workshops are themed depending on the fashions at the time and last (2009) summer had over 500 children attend. With such a popular demand we have now set up regular classes and more classes in schools as after school clubs.
